What the heck is an EasyRig?
An EasyRig is essentially a rope and pulley system that protects a camera-persons back allowing them freedom of movement while taking 20-30 pounds and redistributing it across their entire body.
This means an operator can work for many hours with the risk of injury and fatigue. That means a happier, more creative individual!
DC Visionaries regularly uses heavy cinema camera packages for its corporate and documentary videos, adding this tool was essential. We've already seen our camera people smiling.
There is a slight learning curve, and floating $25-60k worth of equipment, hands-free takes a few gut checks.
We asked Celene to model for a quick video and we think she had fun being asked to "do that take again" 4-5 times.
